Ornament Storage Box
Craft Tip for Individual Ornament Storage: Recycled Containers
Here is a great craft tip for an ornament storage box to individually and safely house some of the handmade ornaments featured on How To Arts and Crafts -- plastic containers from a salad bar. I use them and they work great. You also get the added benefit of recycling plastic!
Whenever I go to a take out salad bar, I save my plastic container. Over the years, I have saved many of these containers and they have come in handy with my arts and crafts projects. I run the containers through the dishwasher, wipe off any water spots, and keep them on hand to store the wider ornaments I make.
If you have visited this site before, you know which ornaments I am referring to -- the really fun ones that have pipe cleaners sticking out all over the place! These recycled plastic containers are the perfect storage box to house these handmade ornaments! For example, in these photos, you can see how nicely the
Halloween spider ornament
fits inside the container. He looks mighty comfy in there, doesn't he?!
Other ornaments with pipe cleaners sticking out are the
Halloween bat ornament,
Christmas spider ornaments,
Bee ornament,
Frog ornaments,
Frog Christmas ornaments,
and
Garden spider ornament.
The plastic container is a good storage box for each of these ornaments.Of course, this container works swell for smaller ornaments too but you may need to add some tissue paper or a small piece of bubble wrap. See
Handmade Ornaments for All Occasions
for the complete ornaments collection.
I hope you found this craft tip helpful! These containers certainly have helped me out with my Christmas ornament storage needs. (Sometimes I even stick a bow on top and give the whole package as a hostess gift!)
